agenda
Consortium Meeting
In September the fourth physical consortium meeting will take place in Italy. These meetings are an opportunity to discuss progress with all the partners and to foster professional relationships between all project participants.
Remtech
RemTech Europe is a hybrid, international conference and exhibition on land and water remediation markets and technologies. September 15-16 are fully digital, and broadcasted in streaming.
17-19 September are hybrid: in presence and broadcasted online.
The Conference aims to share knowledge to encourage the development of remediation processes by bringing together experts, problem owners and suppliers of available services and technologies. In this way, RemTech aims to spread know-how and technologies worldwide.
5th International Congress on PFAS
The International PFAS Congress brings together parties involved with strategies for environmental management and public health within the international legal context and requirements. Site investigations and environmental chemistry, environmental risk and health assessments, toxicology and epidemiology, remediation plans and remediation targets, treatment technologies for water, soil and air, and research and development approaches are presented and discussed.
AquaConSoil 2025
AquaConSoil is a biennial event where scientists, policymakers, decision-makers and industry representatives converge to learn, share insights, and engage on the sustainable use and management of soil, sediment, and water resources. The 40th anniversary edition of AquaConSoil celebrated four decades of innovation and collaboration in soil and water management.
LIFE Capture submitted an abstract: “Combining novel analytical protocols with effective technologies for sustainable PFAS remediation’. A poster summarising the LIFE Capture project and project goals was also avaiable at the event.
INTERSOL 2025 Lyon
INTERSOL is an annual, international conference on the analysis, treatment methodologies and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. The event is dedicated to issues relating to soil, sediment and groundwater management. It brings together experts, researchers, industrialists and policy makers to discuss current environmental challenges and innovative solutions in the field of contaminated site remediation and natural resource protection.
4th congress on PFAS in MIlano
At the 4th International Congres on PFAS, Life Capture partner POLIMI will present on the use of Advanced oxidation and biological processes for PFAS removal in landfill leachates. In a second session, POLIMI and Viacqua will preseent on the Photoelectrocatalytic advanced oxidation of PFAS in contaminated groundwater of Veneto Region, Italy.
Consortium Meeting
In October the third physical consortium meeting will take place in Belgium. For partners these meetings are always an opportunity to discuss progress as well as foster professional relationships.
REMTECH
RemTech Europe, International Conference and Exhibition on land and water remediation markets and technologies, aims to share information on knowledge, innovation and case histories, to encourage the development of remediation processes and the application of new and sustainable technologies and bring together experts, problem owners and suppliers of available services and technologies.
SPEA 12 Conference
Through plenary and keynote lectures, oral presentations, poster talks and poster sessions, the ambition of the four-day SPEA12 conference is to report on the most advanced research progresses in environmental photocatalysis and photochemistry, and to pave the way for future research and challenges.
POLIMI will be presenting their findings concerning the treatment of PFAS-contaminated groundwater from the Veneto region by photoelectrocatalysis (PEC).
PFAS Congress in Paris
LIFE Capture will be presented in more detail at the next Paris congress on PFAS in June of this year. Three of the consortiums partners will present a combined presentation. UNIMIB, Viacqua and POLIMI will go into more detail about the pilot treatment trains.
LIFE Platform On Soils
LIFE Platform on Soils will be organised in Pamplona, Spain, and forms a networking opportunity for LIFE CAPTURE to learn more about other projects, financed by the European LIFE-program, with a focus on soil.
ENSOR congress 2024
ENSOR is a congress that focuses on Emerging policy challenges on New Soil contaminants and more specific for this past congress, the main subject was PFAS. Different parties were selected to talk about the wider social context where PFAS has an influence. Stijn Decru, from ABO, presented the project during this online congress, with a focus on analysis techniques used in WP2.
RemTech 2023
LIFE CAPTURE project organises a scientific session in the frame of Remtech Europe entitled “Characterisation and risk assessment of PFAS contaminated sites for an efficient remediation design.”
AquaConSoil 2023
AquaConSoil is held every two years, during which scientists, policy- and decisionmakers and industry representatives gather to learn, share and engage on sustainable use and management of soil, sediment and water resources. At one of the thematic sessions of this conference, LIFE Capture will be presented. The presentation will focus on the techniques and tools used in “WP2: sampling and analysis”.
2nd congress on pfas in paris
LIFE Capture will be presented in more detail at the next Paris congress on PFAS in June of this year. Three of the consortiums partners will present a combined presentation. ABO will first present an overview of the project and its main objectives. Then UNIMIB and POLIMI will go into more detail about the pilot treatment trains.
MECSPE 2023
MECSPE is the reference exhibition for the manufacturing industry, setting clear targets for growth, development and improvement. MECSPE represents a real incubator and driver for innovative solutions. Michela De Camillis, from GreenSoil, presented the LIFE CAPTURE at MECSPE 2023, in Bologna, Italy.
SiCon 2023
During the SiCon conference in Rome, case studies and projects are presented concerning the remediation of contaminated sites, with a focus on the more technical procedures and solutions. LIFE CAPTURE was there presented by Silvia Franz, from POLIMI.
Politectino di milano has found a way to eliminate pfas from water
Silvia Franz, from Politecnico di Milano, and Paolo Ronco, from Viacqua, explain what they have discovered and how this will shape the future, tackling PFAS. View video here.
